Apparently, the NASA has created the first-ever tricorder.

We're not quite at the medical diagnosis scan level yet, but it's just nifty all the same. As a certain someone said, one small step for a man...

Technology has truly advanced in leaps and bounds since Roddenberry's original series.

If you go discipline by discipline, the technological advances have been quite astonishing. The big bumps (space travel, beating dementia and cancer...) are another matter!
